Weekend Outing to St. Marys Island

There are times in your life when you are frustrated from your daily routine of 9-5 job and you need a break from all these things.

It was a Sunday one such weekend that I didn't wanted to go for a long trip. But I wanted to travel very badly for the peace of mind and wanted to spend time alone.

That is when I decided to let the traveller in me free and go to St. Mary's Island (Malpe Beach). Which is hardly 12km from my granny's place Udupi.

Here I'm in Malpe beach at 8.30am waiting by the sea for a ferry that would take me on a 6km (15 Mints) ride in the sea to the island which cost you 300 bucks per person. As it was a Sunday  I can stay full day in the island from 8.30 am to 4pm. Whereas in weekdays you are allowed to stay only for an hour.

The place from distance looks like a coconut grove island. As I reached there the view was awesome with hot sand and rocks. It was thrilling to climb those rocks and jump from one to another clicking selfies, some forest berries made me recall my childhood days.

The tourism authorities have made hut for people to rest and hang around. But somehow, I still preferred to sit very close to the waves and enjoying gentle waves crashing onto my feet. I would call that bliss.

The day was a bright sunny day. So I had great time enjoying. That picture is  more clearly captured in mind rather than in any cell phone. I was feeling like I have been transported to a different world altogether.

Around 3.30pm I got into my ferry back to Malpe beach. By then it was buzzing with people and energy. From there I got home recalling my great day striking off yet another place from my travel wish list.

Please visit the place and share your views....

Gokarna The Heavenly Destination : Happening Tourist Place

I am in love with Gokarna! The place keep coming to my mind and I crave to go back once again.

Sometimes in life it is good to do nothing, but just be in Gokarna and enjoy the beauty of seaside Gokarna. Blissful place that one can never get tired of.

About Journey :

My journey started from Mangalore to Gokarna by bus. It was a 5 hours journey. We were 2 and it was 3 days trip.  We caught the bus from KSRTC bus stop, Mangalore around 12pm.
The day was hot with the burning sun on top.

We reached Gokarna around 5pm by that time we were fully exhausted. We asked some local people for ATM location. As you need to withdraw cash inside the city itself .After that you don't find any ATMs.

About the place Gokarna:

Gokarna is a paradise. Every sunset is best when you are at seaside. Gokarna is full of such spots where you can gaze the sun in its great beauty beside a beach.

Gokarna is a place to explore secrets of natures beauty. It is a perfect place for a traveller who loves trekking, sea shore and calm atmosphere.
In short  its a place worth to visit.

Gokarna beaches are very clean and beautiful. Walking along  a beach on hot sand with Arabian sea on one side rocky hills on the other is just amazing .
The track starts at Kudle beach and routes goes through OM beach, Half moon beach and Paradise beach.

It is absolutely a beyond the world experience . Especially  Kudle beach .One of my favourite beaches in Gokarna where we had a night stay.

If you are planning  to spend one or two days at Gokarna, I would recommend you to spend the night on the beach itself. Because it would be a perfect stay as you get to lay down on the beach sand, hearing calm sounds of the waves of sea , looking up at the sky full of twinkling stars.

I would say there is no better reward than enjoying and  experiencing this. Try and share your experience  with me

COOKING IS AN ART

ads

I love food. I am a big foodie. I love to taste different food and I love cooking too. I am not a master chef nor a specialist in but I am a good cook and I enjoy cooking and I consider it an art.

Recipe doesn't make you a good cook.. You need to put your full love and interest while cooking.. That makes the food delicious and desirable..

A chef is like a great artist, when the food is plated it resembles as an artistic piece. The blend of colors, flavors, aroma.. It’s just amazing. Each recipe reflects the culture and custom of that individual.

The art of plating food is a pleasing thing.. Food is first consumed by eyes. Then by nose. Finally it goes to the stomach. So I believe food should catch the eye of the consumer.. The things like -How it is served? How is it plated? Matters Based on these things one build their perception towards the taste of food. So in my opinion the way of serving is very important.

I am a person who loved to cook since childhood. At the beginning I started cooking sweets because I have a sweet tooth u know...  That is when I put my innovative ideas to create sweet dishes  of my own. I started with different types of chikkis, and trust me still they are my favorites. Like this every weekend I would tryout a new dessert and soon it became my hobby. I cook for pleasure.

Cooking for loved ones is such an amazing feeling and for me it is stress buster too.The sensual experience in of peeling and mincing the garlic, chopping the onions.. Cut cut  cut just like that. And the smell of ginger and garlic enveloping your house with an wonderful aroma which you feel like to store forever.. and the sound of mustard cracking in the oil. Later on frying all these things with some balanced masalas with tossing and turning... Ta daa finally your dish is ready.

The reward is fresh meal that tastes better than anything else.  As I stay out of my house and I should cook everyday for myself and for my roommates.. At times like this knowing to cook turns out to be a boon. And the greatest reward is when your friends enjoys "ghar ka swaad" and appreciate you. Who doesn't want it guys.

I am very fond of Cooking. I always hunt for new recipes and food..

If you want to learn something it is not difficult specially in this modern era. You have internet, you can try looking into same new recipes.. I suggest start with something you like. At the end of the day all you need is a bit interest ways will open automatically.Try cooking and share your opinions below..

LIFE WITH ROOMMATES

ads

I remember the days after college when all I wanted was to be with friends. Back then I didn't realize when you share room with your friends they don't remain just friends. They become your roommates.

People you love to spend a few hours with, on weekends might not be people you enjoy seeing 24/7.Trust me guys it is same as your girlfriend becoming your wife. A total different scenario.

As the saying goes "The grass on the other side of the hill is always greener."
As roomies friends behave totally different, they behave sometimes even as siblings, can't believe we fight over silly things like who's gonna do dishes, who will clean the room, laundry, cooking etc...And trust me guys even eggs are on the list. Which adds to the whole lots of experience which comes under being the roommates....

It just blows me off when they show don't care attitude. On the contrary when they do something kind to me, my heart gets overwhelmed. Even we fight and abuse one other a lot, but when they are out of town I feel bad. I feel something is missing out in my life.

What you know folks its all worth it as we never realized back then "We were making memories...What we just knew was, we were having fun."

Yes you heard me right all fights, sober nights, night outs, parties, backbite turned out to be a good lesson just to make me "somebody else who makes everybody feel like a somebody. "

I would like to thank my good and worst roommates , who had taught me the lesson of lifetime that is to enjoy little things. Thank you.

Sringeri -Sirimane Water Falls

Sirimane water falls
A thing of beauty is a joy forever. What more beautiful than a water falls in a green western ghats and there is no better way to find oneself than by facing a waterfall and listening to its music.
This place is  in the  interior part of Sringeri taluk of chikmagaluru district. It is 18 km from sringeri. Sringeri is also a famous tourist place. One can cover both places in one trip.

Even though the stretch of road to falls is not good with many pot holes, deadly curves of narrow width and thick forest surrounding the area. But it's a thrilling experience to drive upto there. And its total worth watching and enjoying the beauty of Sirimane falls.

But once you reach the foot of falls its mesmerizing. You definitely feel like jumping in for a shower...so, do come prepared with a change of clothes. You can go till bottom of the water fall and enjoy bathing under falls. The force of fall relaxes your body muscles and the area around the falls is just amazing. But need to be a little careful while moving in water because of the slippery rocks. Water is very cold even in the summer season and during rainy season the force of water will be very high that it is not recommended to play under falls as you can't withstand the force for long.

There are few changing rooms available free of cost and you need to pay around 10 bucks as an entry fees to the falls. It has a nice parking area. There you will find few petty shops which sell local fresh fruits, tea and snacks....

Do visit and share your experience...Click the below link for the video

" Boys Are Not Always Wrong "

ads The fault is not always from the boy's side.

Feminism is not keeping women over man# its treating both of them equal.

Latest but sad trend.

You are just a fake allegation away from loosing your career , social life and reputation

what I feel, not every man who is nice to girl is flirting with her, some mothers raised their sons to be gentleman.

Kindly understand that gender equality is a human issue. What if someone loose their life basically everything because of one fake allegation.. who will be responsible for all of these?

society needs to understand that boys are not always wrong. People need to know there are always two sides to every story. Both the parties should get equal chance to explain their side and keep their points .

The said situation may not be ultimate in every case.

In our society we are taught to respect women no matter what they do, whether we feel they deserve it or not.
So women take it as a liability and impose all their faults to masculine gender.

Our media represents female as a Centre of social discriminations(which may be true in many case but not in every case).

Women rights are given for protection and these days women are using it as a shield to escape or victimize men by playing victim card #Fakefeminism.

society laughs on a man when he says he has been raped. society thinks that only men are doing a crime like rape and they don’t get that even women can rape a man. This is soo bad.

Its high time we should oppose the usage of negative statements like "Men will be Men"

Don't Spend Money On Things....Spend Money On Experiences. You will Enjoy Life A Life Lot More..

Being happy is an art and trust my friends things can't buy happiness. We spend a huge share of our earnings to buy the things which we may use once or twice or sometimes never. But they do not last long.  Today's generation believes in long-term investment so it is better to stop wasting our money and long hours on unnecessary things to impress others. Live for yourself and the best way to do so is to create memories.

There is a proverb "Books are the gifts which we can open again and again." Here is another version of it..create memories that you can recall again and again... And every time you recall it the same thrill runs over your veins. The real long-term investment.

Every single day you are surrounded by commercials which catch your eye as they are believed to make your life easy and better.
But wait, loving things and collecting them is not everything that you are living for.

We buy things just to keep our high profile in society.. Just to show off. While doing so you may fail to enjoy actual life.

Don't you think it is foolish to live to show others? Instead, we can utilize it to create memories, for having "me time" and "family time". However, at the end of the day, everybody wants to be a happy family man...not a lonely owner of a mansion with used less things that will be for you nothing but junk.

I do understand money is important in life and we do everything to earn it. But while spending it we fail to make the best deal, we end up in a loss by buying temporary things, while it can actually bring eternal happiness at the same or much lower price.

Instead of collecting things, one should focus on gaining lifetime experiences.

It is simple logic that memories bring a smile to your face whenever you recall them and things you buy may not create the same magic.

One more thing to add, you cannot acquire things for free but moments and memories can be experienced for free too. Not all, but of course some.

A lot of memories can be created in our life without spending even a penny. You just need to find the ways which give you the real kick.

What you need to do is STOP!!  living your life to show others. And it is always great to spend on experiences when you have someone to share them with.

We cannot live without things but we can minimize our needs and increase the number of moments to redefine freedom of life by doing things which make us feel alive and happy.

You can make memories or experiences by spending time with your family and friends. Which is price less.. And also by traveling and gaining knowledge about the world around us.

In this artificial world whatever we do is only to showcase on social media and to get likes. Likes on our photos or videos from people whom we personally don't know.

We travel so that we can upload pictures on social media and we fail to enjoy the beauty of the place.
Don't you think how odd it is that we even upload pictures of the food we eat what fun is that? Instead, we should observe the people and culture around us.

Everyone just needs to find out what makes them feel alive or happy. Like travelling and cooking make me very happy which is a stress baster for me.

I repeat don't spend on things, spend for creating experiences.  At the last stage of life, you should not regret that you have not done this thing yet... And can never do it even with the crores in hand.  So don't wait till you achieve something or gather enough money. Start now to do things that turn out to be your treasure of memories.......
